Nominees for Convention 2024

ELECTED
Melissa Smith, nominated for the Standing Committee, Lay Member. Melissa is the Director of Children’s, Family and Women’s Ministries at Christ the Redeemer, Fort Worth. Married to her husband, Roger, for 32 years; they with their three sons were part of the CTR church plant team. She is a life group leader, CTR Mission Committee member, a Lay Eucharistic Minister, in Mother’s Union and prayer ministries and has been, a vestry member and diocesan delegate. At a diocesan level, Melissa is on the Revitalization Committee and the Christian Education Committee and has previously been on the World Mission Committee and the Nominating Committee for the Election of a Bishop Coadjutor. She holds a Master of Arts in Religion, Catechesis and Christian Formation Concentration from Trinity School for Ministry. She is a Spiritual Director through Ignatian tradition and involved in intercessory prayer in several ministry and school settings.

ELECTED
The Very Rev. Alan Horton, nominated for the Standing Committee, Clerical Member. Fr. Horton is the rector of St. Gregory’s, Mansfield and dean of the Eastern Deanery. He currently serves on the Ecclesiastical Trial Court and has previously served on the Executive Council and as the co-chair of the Christian Education Committee as well as the chair of the World Mission Committee.

ELECTED
Mark Mecca, nominated for the Ecclesiastical Trial Court, Lay Member. Mark is a Communicant at St. Laurence Anglican Church in Southlake, where his a Lay Eucharistic Minister Leader. He has served one term on Ecclesiastical Trial Court, and has previously served on the Camp Crucis Board of Managers, and has been a Diocesan Delegate. Mark is employed as a data analyst.,

ELECTED
The Rev. Jeff Stubbs, SSC, nominated for Ecclesiastical Trial Court, Clerical Member. Fr. Stubbs is Rector of St. Paul’s in Gainesville and is currently finishing his first term on the Ecclesiastical Trial Court. He also serves on the Camp Crucis Board of Managers and on the Diocesan Nominations Committee. Previously he was on the Subcommittee of the ACNA Liturgy and Common worship Taskforce involved with the creation of the 2019 Prayer Book, Traditional Language Edition.
